All the District officials were honoured with Momentos.The Cubs& Bulbuls, Scouts & Guides presented a colourful Culturals. The Chief guest distributed the 16th National Jamboree & 68th Republic Day Parade Certificates and Medals to the Scouts & Guides.

The Chief guest addressed the gathering .Shri Balaji, Scout Master of MVM gave vote of thanks. Smt.A.Jayanthi District organizing Commissioner ( Guides)was the Master of Ceremony. We thank Dr.Permual Swamy State Chief Commissioner, Dr.Rajendran State Secretary of Tamil Nadu Bharat Scouts & Guides who gave recognition to our Maharishi group of Schools as a Separate District.We thank our Senior Principal Shri S.Namasivayam for given us permission to conduct the rally.

Maharishi District BS&G conducted the Tritiya Sopan Camp from 23rd to 25th of February 2011 at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School Sipcot Hosur. A total of 248 scouts & guides from the Maharishi group of schools namely Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Chetpet Chennai, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Sipcot Hosur, Maharishi International Residential School SanthevelurParticipated and were accompanied by 30 scouters & guiders. During the camp, the participants were trained in Pravesh, Pratham Sopan, Dwitiya Sopan, Fire, Compass, BP Exercise, Games, Campfire and Competitions as per APRO II/III

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Maharishi District organized various courses for adult leaders from 22.04.11 to 29.04.11 at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School Chetpet Chennai-31. A total of 80 scouters and guiders of Maharishi Group of Schools were benefited through these courses.

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Tamilnadu, organized various courses for adult leaders from 09.5.11 to 16.5.11 at State Trainning Centre Coonoor. Nine members from Maharishi district participated in the courses.

The district Refresher Courses was organized by the Maharishi District BS&G on 10th &11th June 2011 at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Chetpet Chennai – 31. There were 24 scouters and guiders, from various schools of the district.

The Courses were held on 13th &14th June 2011 at Maharishi International Residential School, Santhevellur Sungavar chattram Kanchiepuram. There were 36 scouters and guiders participated in the Course.

The Courses were held on 24th & 25th June 2011 at M/s.Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Sipcot Hosur Krishnagiri District. There were 45 scouters and guiders participated in the course. Mr. D. Poornachandran was the leader of the Course and assisted by invited staff from other districts.

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Maharishi District – Tamilnadu, organized Bunny Leaders Training courses for KG Teachers from 22.06.11 to 26.06.11 at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School Hosur Krishnagiri District. A total of 14 Bunny Auntys of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School Hosur were benefited through these courses.

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Maharishi District – Tamilnadu, organized Bunny Leaders Training courses for KG Teachers from 01.07.11 to 05.07.11. at G.T.Aloha Vidhya Mandir Neelankarai Chennai. A total of 14 Bunny Auntys of which 6 were from Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School Chennai, 2 were from Maharishi International Residential School and 6 were from G.T.Aloha Vidhya Mandir. These participants showed a lot of enthusiasm and as a result were highly benefited.

The Bharat Scouts & Guides Maharishi District conducted the Patrol Leaders Training Camp from 22nd to 24th of July 2011 at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School Sipcot Hosur. Mr.Manoharan DOC ( S ) and Mrs . A.Jayanthi DOC ( G ) were the leaders of the camp. There were 222 scouts, 186 guides, 40 Scouters& Guiders and 12 staff members from the Maharishi group of schools namely Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Chetpet Chennai, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Sipcot Hosur, Maharishi International Residential School Santhevelur and G.T.Aloha Vidhya Mandir

The Bharat Scouts & Guides Maharishi District conducted the Rajyapurskar Test Camp from 26th to 28th August 2011 at Camp Tonkela Avadi Chennai. There were 103 scouts, 107 guides, 20 Scouters& Guiders from the Maharishi group of schools namely Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Chetpet Chennai, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Sipcot Hosur and Maharishi International Residential School Santhevelur. During the Camp our Scouts & Guides were tested in Pravesh to Rajyapurskar, Compass, Mapping, Estimation, Pioneering, Log Books, Proficiency Badges Log books and Practical session of Tent & Flag. The invited Examiners from various districts conducted the test camp.

The Bharat Scouts & Guides Maharishi District conducted the Over Night Camp for Cubs and Bulbuls from 30th to 31st August 2011 at G.T.Aloha Vidhya Mandir Chennai. Mr.N.Manoharan DOC ( S ) and Mrs . A.Jayanthi DOC ( G ) were the leaders of the camp. There were 146 Cubs, 123 Bulbuls , 30 Scouters& Guiders and 10 staff members from the Maharishi group of schools namely Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Chetpet, Chennai, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Sipcot Hosur, Maharishi International Residential School Santhevelur, Kanchipuram and G.T.Aloha Vidhya Mandir Neelangarai Chennai.

During the Camp we had Games, Redflower/Kalarav, Physical Jerks, Fun Activities, Singsong and Competitions. The Valedictory function was held on 31st August 2011. Smt.Vinola Murali Principal of G.T.Aloha & ADC ( G ) of Maharishi District welcomed the gathering, Shri Kumaran CEO of G.T.Aloha Vidhya Mandir was the Chief Guest he gave away Certificates and Prizes to the Participants, Mr.D.Poornachandran ALT ( C ) DS of Maharishi District rendered Vote of thanks. We thank our Senior Principal & District Treasurer of Maharishi district Shri S.Namasivayam for giving us permission to conduct the Event.

The Bharat Scouts & Guides –Maharishi District Celebrated the Centenary year of GirlGuide movement at M/s.Maharishi International Residential School Santhevellur Kanchipuram on 3rd September 2011. About 335 bulbuls, Guides and Rangers, 30 Guiders and 10 staff members participated from Maharishi group of schools namely Maharishi Vidya Mandhir School Chetpet, Chennai, Maharishi Vidya Mandhir Senior Secondary School Hosur, Maharishi International Residential School Santhevellur, Kanchipuram and G.T.Aloha Vidya Mandhir School Neelangarai, Chennai. All participants showed keen interest and enthusiasm in participating in the Centenary Celebration.

In the Inauguration function, Smt.Kasthuri Sudhakar A LT ( G ) National Council Member of National Head Quarters BS&G was the Guest Honour. She released the Logo of the 100 Years of Girl Guide Movement and the same received by Smt. Premalatha Bhoophathy District Chief Commissioner of Maharishi District. Rtn. R. Subramian Past President of Rotary Club of Chepauk was the Chief Guest and he released the Kit Bag, that contain Rope Bag, Woggle, Olave BP Photo,Note Pad, BS&G Stripe,Pen, Pencil, Rubber and Chest badge. All the schools members were honoured. The Cubs& Bulbuls presented Culturals during of the Inaugural function. Mr.D.Poornachandran District Secretary Welcomed the gathering .Smt.A.Jayanthi DOC (G)delivered the Highlights of the event. Smt.Preethi Naryan District Commissioner (Guides) rendered the vote of thanks.

We had Traditional games for the Bulbuls and Rangoli for Guides and Pioneering Food Plaza,Folk Dance and Drawing &Painting. For Rangers we had Group Discussion, Pioneering, Quiz,Patriotic song and Marriage Festival. Subramaniam Past District Governorof Rotary District 3230 was the Chief Guest. He distributed the Certificates and Prizes for the Participants.Mr.D.Poornachandran District Secretary, welcomed the gathering and Smt.Premalatha Bhoopathy District Chief Commissioner rendered the vote of thanks. 30 Scouts & Guides renderd Temple service at Ettampadai MuruganKoil Chennai -5 on 5th April 2012 under the leadership of Mr.D.Poornachandran District Secretary assisted by Mrs.A.Jayanthi, Mrs.Abirami and Mr.Mugananadan.

The Maharishi District conducted the District Camp from 20th to 22nd of April 2012 at Hoskote Camping and Training Centre, Perambur .32 Rovers , 14 Rangers& 8 Scouters & Guiders participated the camp. Mr.D.Poornachandran was the leader of the camp and assisted by the invited staff from other states. The Camp was Inaugurated by Smt. Indrani LT ( R) Soc ( G) Southern Railway was the chief guest she blessed and interacted with rovers & rangers. The Campers were involved in the activities like Camp Integration, BPSix, Inspection, Flag Ceremony, Project Making,Interaction with ICF District and Perambur District units , Session, Grand Camp Fire, All faith Prayer , Hike & Validectory function.Shri C.Ramalingam District Commisssioner of Maharishi District visted the camp.

The district Refresher Course was organized by the Maharishi District BS&G on 2nd June 20121 at M/s.Maharishi International Residential School, Santhevellur Sungavar chattram Kanchiepuram.The Program was started after the formal flag hoisting ceremony. There were 36 scouters and guiders, from Maharishi group of school they showed keen interest and enthusiasm in participating in the refresher course. session like knots, lashing, Flag procedure, filling Application forms, Log book preparation, Greeting , Jungle Play, Tara Story and Quiz program me were conducted.. Mr.D.Poornachandran ALT(C) was the leader of the course with inviting guest from other districts.

The Bharat Scouts & Guides Maharishi District conducted the Pre-Test Camp for Zone-1 on 23rd June 2012 at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr.Sec.School Chetpet Chennai-31.135Scouts, Guides& 10 Scouters & Guiders participated the camp. Mr.D.Poornachandran was the leader of the camp and assisted by the invited staff from other states.The following topics were tested in the camp Pravesh, Mapping, Compass, Firstaid, Pionering, Written test,Camp craft,Tent & Flag Mast and Log books. The Scouts & Guides took part very actively.

The Bharat Scouts & Guides Maharishi District conducted the Rajyapurskar Test Camp from 17th to 19th of August 2012 at Maharishi International Residential School sunguvarchaithram Kanacheepuram District.A total of 284 scouts & guides and 30 Scouters & Guiders from Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Chennai, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Sipcot Hosur, Maharishi International Residential Schooland G.T.Aloha Vidhya Mandir were Participated .The Chief Examiner for the Test Camp for Scout Wing Shri L.Paramasivam LT (S ) assisted by Shri P.S.Thiyarajan LT (S ), Shri Loganathan ALT (S),Shri Selva Kunmar HWB (S) , Shri Muruganesan HWB( S) .The Chief Examanier for the Guide Wing Smt.Stella Santhappa LT ( G) .During the camp, the participants were Tested in BP Six, Inspection, Flag Break, Mapping, Camp Craft, Pioneering, Estimation, Fire and written test.On 18th August 2012 Shri C.Ramalingam District commissioner visited the Test Camp.The Valedictory function was held on 19th August 2012., Shri S.Namasivayam Assistant State Commissioner TNBS&G District Treasure MDBS&G & correspondent of MIRS Senior Principal of MVM Chennai was the Chief Guest. Shri Kesavan Bursar of MIRS and Smt.Sarumathi Principalof MIRS blessed the Participants.Earlier Shri.A.Subbhash Jain Assistant Secretary Welcomed the gathering Shri N.Manoharan DOC (S) presented the report about the camp. MVM SCOUT GROUP & MVM GUIDE GROUP celebrated PRESENTATION OF GILWELL WOGGLE for Scout masters & Cubmasters on 21st July 2012 at Maharishi Vidya Manndir Sr. Sec.School Chetpet Chennai-31. 8 scouters were awarded. Mrs.Sujathavinod welcomed the gathering. Mr.D.Poornachandran ALT ( C) awarded the Gilwell woggle to the scouters. Shri.C.Ramalingam District Commissioner of Maharishi District was the chief guest he gave Certificates and blessed the scouters.Mrs.Pradha lakshmi rendred vote of thanks.
